    Ricoh MP5500 firmware upgrade procedure

    Hi all,

Im having a bit of trouble, I reset the UCS settings and so had no network connection, have turned it on and can ping the machine but will print assuming I have lost settings? Planning on doing a firmware update to see if this helps, only trouble is I've never done it. All help would be grately appreciated to get me out of trouble!

If you can ping the machine, then you can connect to the machine and you should be able to print. Which settings are lost?

i'm not 100% on the error, i did a engine reset put the settings I had in but seems there may be something wrong on the network side.

      Many thanks

If you do an engine reset, you should have made a backup of the NVRAM contents to an SD-Card. After the reset you could reload these settings back to the machine. If you do not have made the backup it can be very diffficult to get the machine up and running.
