ricoh 3228 color registration

the machine just will not regerster I have cleaned the sensors above the transfer belt. I even tried a new belt
is there a trick to get these machine to regester ?

any suggestions would be thankful

Clean the silver roller at the top of the xfer unit. The id sensors bounce light off of them to perform the registration. There is a rotaion sensor on that unit also which may be dirty/defective.

i replaced the three sensors behind the fuser and that fixed it

Good. Those are the ID sensors and one of their uses is to adjust the registration.
