very crazy printhead error in mp 4500
Hi, I have a monochrome ricoh mp 4500 doing this every so often fails and gives the error sc 322, and try another printhead and does the same so what relates to the right door switches but there was no result, any ideas guys ? is very crazy....
Printhead is not a very good translation in this instance as that is an inkjet component. The issue you have appears to be a synch issue with the laser unit. I have also seen defective memory DIMMs cause similar issues, but getting the SC 322, I'd look at a couple things:
Connections to the BICU and the Laser unit
Replacing the synch board or the laser unit
Especially if this unit had a lot of toner blowing around in it, the possibility exists of a shorted laser unit from cleaning.
I've had a couple of things cause this. First, the door switches above the fuser. Replace the three as a set. Next, the laser unit. These machines, oddly enough, don't respond to just having the laser diode assembly changed, it has to be the complete laser unit. If you do change the laser unit, make sure you change the PCU and developer unit seals.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
