I'm trying to get a stapler to work in this machine. A tech replaced the stapler unit and didnt replace the metal upper guide that is a separate pc. (B468-4513)
When he put the new stapler in the machine, it cycled one time and thew an empty staple code. Removing it, the plastic body was blown out of the metal case, rendering it unrepairable. I bought a new stapler + the Mylars and the metal guide. He had thrown the old stapler away so I dont have anything much to guide me, I am pretty sure I put the metal guide in correctly as there is a pix in the parts manual that shows it. The one mylar called upper entrance guide, I am not clear whether the guide extends into the jaws of the stapler or out.
I put it together and put it into the finisher and the same thing happened. Cycles once and blows the plastic part out of the metal frame. That makes the plastic part stick up and it wont move past the slides in the finisher. Also it pushes the set cartridge feeler out of position and it wont reset.
The original problem was false empty staples, after replacing the cartridge and the harness, we got a new stapler unit and thats when the real problem began.
I cant find any good info besides the sketchy stuff in the 1060 manual and the parts catalog.

The first two images show the 2 possible ways of attaching the upper entrance mylar, which one is correct.
The next two show the plastic part of the stapler kicked out of the metal frame.
Any information you can share will be appriciated.
