Ricoh 3235c banding on trail egde

Hi Guys,

I went to this machine the other day and on an a3 colour copy it had dark bands on the last half of the page, also the registration was out fron the point where it started to band.

When i ran the machine on a3 full colour copies, i cheated the door and heard the transfer belt chatter, what would cause this, this happens intermittently.

check the condition and mileage on the ITB cleaning unit.

Thanks for the input, it was the bias roller gear (worn down)
