Ricoh Af1035 Lines opposite to direction of feed

Hi All.. I have an AF1035 that is reproducing thin black lines on the printed surface, opposite to the direction of feed , only in copy mode. So I get a copy image on the paper and in addition to this, thin black lines appearing along the entire paper (opposite to the direction of feed), maybe about 20-25 or so of these lines per A4R(portrait) feed, also no particular pattern just spread out at different intervals. Like i mentioned earlier when I generate a copy from memory like a counter reading ect this does not occur. Only in copy mode. Pls let me know what I shud be doing to rectify this. Thanks in advance for your responses

Does evtl. the scan lamp flicker while scanning?

second: check at first the connection between scanner and host mashine

You say that the lines are in the "opposite" direction, but I'm wondering if the machine may be using 'image rotation' without you realizing it? Try lifting up on the left side of the scanner with reasonable pressure as the machine is copying. if the lines go away then give it a couple of good yanks to hold it in that position (while the client isn't looking). It's a common problem. Also make sure the scanner slit glass, lamp, mirrors, and reflectors are clean

Thank you for your responses, removed and cleaned the entire scanner section plus the connectors and refitted. Problem does not occur anymore... Sorry couldn't pinpoint the cause though....

Yep, too much leaning on that unsupported corner.
