    Brand new MP8001 sc990

    hi to all ,
    brand new machine mp8001 always pop up the functional problem ( sc990) during feeding the original document in ADF , how to do system reset plsss... help

      According to Goose Guide:

      1. Run SP5853 to install stamp data
      2. Reflash Firmware
      3. Replace HDD
      4. Check for pinched wires on BICU harness

      Was the machine PDI'd by your company or Ricoh?

          Hi Frank, there is a firmware upgrade bulletin for SC990 - Jan 6, 2012 in Canada.
          Engine firmware should be 1.64.04 or higher. You should do the latest batch firmware download. I cant see how to attach the bulletin here but maybe you"ll find it in Malaysia, i think thats where you are. Good luck.
          The bulletin says that SC991/990 may occur when an ADF jam occurs. So do this first before replacing any parts or taking other desperate measures.

          2. ENGINE FIRMWARE ver. 1.64.04: .................................................. ....
