    MP5500 print problem

    Hi all,
We have an issue with a customers machine when printing and copying.Intermittently some of the pages are printed with the image about 2cm off to the side(feed direction),it will be fine for days then do it several times in a job, meaning that the customer has to check all the jobs.It doesn't call a jam and is fine otherwise, finishes and staples/punches ok,the image isn't compressed or stretched, so I don't think it is a mechanical issue.
The machine recently blew its scanner drive board which has been replaced, don't know if that could be relevant, all the firmware has been updated with newest versions, have tried a new NVRAM,anybody have any ideas before we start ordering expensive boards?
    Thanks for any help.

I am confused about "off to the side, feed direction" seems opposing. Are you duplexing. It is multiple copies? One particular tray? A pix might be helpful also

      Hi,
The printed image is about 2cm out of line with the paper in the feed direction as if the registration timing was way out, does it in duplex, simplex, all trays, all finishing modes, tends to show up on long runs.It was as if the image was written to the drum to early/registration to slow but as of today the customer has phoned to say that the fault is still there;only that it is now as if the image is written to late/registration to soon.It is quite intermittent but a bit frustrating.Any ideas would be appreciated.
      Thanks.
