hi guys,i have problems with my 2 ricoh aficio 1018s,if i change yhe dev gears,they dont lust,they just break without making many copies.please help guys i am stranded.

the bushings of the screw conveyors tend to get stuck, i would suggest you to change the lower development case as assy.

You can get a good used drum unit from RecycledParts.us for $175 or just put in a 1027 pcu for the same price.Why do they call it common sense?

I'm pretty sure a 1027 drum unit won't work in a B039. As far as the dev unit, be sure and get ALL the old developer out with a vacuum before loading new developer, including the gear drive area. Too much developer in these units will cause them to lock up.NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment

I have never tried this either, we use the 1027 drum in the(sorry Lanier terms) LD122/127/ LD225/325,425/433 but the 18/20's use a different unit. I don't even know if it'll fit in there.. I believe it's a different size(height) and different place it locks into the frame.... I really don't think those are intechangable.Comment
