MP 6001/2051 FUSER

Can I use a MP 6001 fuser in a 2051? I'm in a pinch at the moment and never tried this.

Never tried it. The 2051 has 3 fusinglamps and the 6001 2.

I scraped up another 2051 to steal a fuser out of, and your right about 2 lamps vs 3. Makes me a little leery about difference in lamp control circuits. I don't want to smoke a board.

I've done it and it worked. I replaced the 3 wire pigtail at the front with the 2 wire pigtail from the 6001, but I bet I could have just left the 3rd wire disconnected.
