MPC 3500 sc 581

This unit is on its second fuser and now I am getting a sc 581 does any one know what the fix is for this also how do I initialize the hard drives in this unit.

Check CN981 on the IH Inverter or replace the IH Inverter. SP5-832 is for HDD Initialization.

The IH Inverter is controlling the IH Coil Unit. SC581 means that the inverter detects an abnormal voltage. The IH Inverter is located behind the right-rear cover.

Check the IH inductive Heater Coil thermostats(button) are not tripped or depressed inward.

We have the problem and it was the thermostat on the IH inverter. Before removing the IH inverter(little bit hard) you can check the continuity of the thermostat through the IH board- CN983.

I cant seem to find this IH board . Is it the one behind the main power supply ?

If your standing on the right side of the machine looking at the bypass, take off the cover to the right of it. The IH coil PS is there.

The IH Coil Unit is behind the Fusing Unit. This Unit heats the Fusing Belt. The IH Inverter is located behind the Right-Rear-Cover. If you still can't find it then ask Paul for the service manual.

Hi all im having the same problem sc581 we have changed the ih board, ih coil, the power supply board the fusing unit and its back in again today with sc581! any one got any idears because its driving me mad now. Have spoken to ricoh they said to change ih board then power supply done that and it lasts a day then sc581 again!!
