    Ricoh MPC6000 Java Card Issue

    Greetings,

Just wondering if anyone has had issues trying to install any applications onto the Java card on this little "gem".

I have a number of them which I am attempting to install the eCopy ShareScan embedded client on (although I doubt that the specific app would matter), but nothing ever shows as being available to install when I click the "Display Extended Features" button.

I've remotely rebooted the machines numerous times, all to no avail.

I'm wondering if the machines need to be fully powered off. They're all hundreds of miles away, so I would have to call the customer to do that. Not a problem to do, but this seems to be the only model that I've seen this with. The Java cards are at the current version. AFAIK, the rest of the firmware is at least close to current, but I'll need to verify that.

    Thanks!

Re: Ricoh MPC6000 Java Card Issue

The most current version of JAVA for the I type card on the MP C6000 is 4.24.03 unfortunately this version should not be updated remotely. although JAVA EDC can.

Installing the SDKs remotely is possible but not 100% robust. If possible installing locally via a cross-over is the most reliable, failing that accessing a customer's PC remotely, copying the SDK there and installing from the remote PC would probably be the most viable alternative.
