I been looking at an af 2035 (yes i know it's an old dog) Customer put in a new toner but still asking for toner. Bottle spins toner drops into dev unit but still asks for toner.dev'd m/c but throughs up sc391 .replaced td sensor same thing. TD sensor shows toner in dev low.It seems to be stuck in a loop . Manual suggests maybe i/o board .Any idea's ...? Been working on this range of m/c for 15 years so starting to get a bit personnel . Many thanks Jon

You've done everything suggested in SM - except replace the I/O board, as you mentioned.Comment

Re: ricoh 2035 toner issue
Jon,
I have a customer with the Savin 8045 (Aficio 3045) use toner for an "E" model.
It gave very heavy background on copies. I ran as much black copy as I could
and then installed the right toner. The copies still had some background and
I was going to change the developer mix, but two days later the background
was gone. It still ran the developer for another 75K before it started giving
ID sensor codes.
If you have changed the developer mix then yes it could be it is not adding
enough toner. If not, I would be inclined to think the developer mix ratio
to toner is never going to be correct.
Just a thought.

I'm with Eric1968....
Take the toner hopper apart and make sure all the mylars are on the toner hopper. There are 4 of them and if one of them is missing, then it will cause all kinds of problems. Never hurts to make certain that all the mylars are there. It's much cheaper than paying for a Ricoh board!CompTia A+ Certified
