    MP 4000 Exit Jams

MP4000 - less than 40k - jams as paper begins to exit fuser. Intermittent, but occurs frequently - happens from all 4 trays. There is no bridge unit on this machine, all paper exits to internal tray. Cleaned all relay sensors and exit sensor, checked for exit drive lag (delay) - paper appears to stop as it begins to enter exit assembly. Exit guides (gate) show no obstructions (burrs, etc)

    Suggestions appreciated.

There is a fuser entrance sensor that a lot of engineers miss as it's hard to spot it unless you remove the fusing unit from the machine.

This sensor does tend to get covered in toner.

Failing that could you scan and post the first page of the SMC logging data.

I've had a dodger exit sensor before . it checked out ok with I/O check and with a meter , i guess it just got a bit lazy.
