Had lots of controller board issues with these POS. None of the machines I look after have the optional print installed though so I can't comment on your actual fault.

Now that I think about it, tech support suggested replacing memory DIMMS to resolve most issues, although, as I said, none of my machines have the DIMM installed to begin with.

had this a while ago turned out that an application they used wasn't supported by the on board ricoh fonts. in the driver there is a download true fonts setting. worth a try.

Is this printer on your network? Does this happen from all computers or just one? Does it have the same ip address as the one before it? I have seen customers use the same ip address for a new printer and use the driver from the previous printer to print. This can cause the problem you have. If this is not the case, your driver may be corrupt and you need to uninstall the driver and download and do a fresh install.

Are you certain someone hasn't substituted a PS3 driver somewhere? If you can I suggest hooking up a laptop directly to test it.

I agree with Zed255. Hook it up to a laptop and check the printing. That way you can make sure that the hardware on your machine is ok.

Then it is a process of elimination to see where the junk prints are coming from - it could well be the PS3 driver (You will see readable text if it is Postscript - will look like programming language).

It could also be a corrupt driver (due to various reasons). Might be worth while to re-install all the drivers on all the boxes, once you have done the laptop check. Make sure you use the latest drivers, and be careful with Windows 7.

Thanks guys, I connected laptop and the problem is obviously the print drivers, which the customers network folks can resolve. Even though some of these network guys can be arrogantly stubborn... Thanks again for the feedback!
