    ricoh 2045

I have a ricoh 2045 printer when it goes off, with the main switch to on. The car has 900000 prints. when you turn off the paper is jammed in the oven.
have been changed the power supply board and the oven, with the same problem.
the machine turns off after 50-60 prints. and lights up after 5-10minutes.
    problem is not solved.
    has anyone had this problem?

I don't know about anyone else on this site but I am so tired of seeing this stupid post on every page of this forum. People come to this forum for help, and the rest of us try to help them so that we can be helped in return in the future. Your trying to sell information and fatten your wallet. Im sorry but the service manuals don't have a lot of the problems people post in here and if they did then they wouldn't be posting here with their problems. One other thing... Are you even licensed to resell property that belongs to Ricoh?

Now that's out it can you explain the problem a little better. You state that the power is on but the machine is off. When it does go off there is a jam in the fuser. Is it every time you try and print or do you even get any prints out? It almost sounds like a possible short somewhere. I have had something similar in a C901. the machine was dead except for a few lights on every now and then. It turned out that the sensor in the fusing unit under the exit plate would get pushed down by the near cardboard the customer was running through the machine causing it to arc to ground and down it. Now these machines are much different but a short can happen just the same. May do some more checking and post more in depth of whats going on.

I've got the manuals for free if anybody wants them.

Just to piss Paul off, of course.

first thing I would check is in the interchange unit. They ran wires for a sensor, which is only used with the internal tray, right across a metal roller shaft. After that many copies, the metal shaft wears through the insulation on the wires and shorts it out thus turning off the power supply. after a little cooling, the shrinkage can cause them to unconnect and the power supply turns back on. So check in the interchange unti and move that wire to the holders so it doesn't cross that shaft and insulate them with electrical tape.

If you are asking about what we are taking about the exit unit is best accessed by taking off the scanner unit then the cover under the unit. Some models have a 1 bin tray for faxes so that will need to be removed if it has one. Then you will have a clear view of the exit unit and the wire in question right on top. Sorry I don't have pictures.
