MP C6000 fuser in MP C6501?

    Hey all

Does anyone know if there's a way to get an MP C6000 fuser to work in an MP C6501. I visually checked it out and looked up parts like the lamps and thermostats/thermistors before rebuilding (fitted with C6501 Press roller etc). But when I fit it to the m/c it doesn't detect the fuser is there. This leads me to think it's a harness issue. But do you think I can find the harness' in the C6501 parts manual, no.

So I was wondering if there was a way to swap the wires round or know of a way around it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

3d parts manual or point to point-thats where you'll find the parts

      Cheers for the reply.

I was looking in the 3d parts catalogue, but could not find the parts I was looking for.

On further investigation, have found that the temperature sensor: upper assembly has changed (now AW1000130). am in the process of replacing that and will give that ago. There are obvious differences, Wire position, So am hoping for positive results.

      Will post findings

Tested ok, So fitting the correct temperature assembly sorted it

Its not the sensor, all you need to do is swap the little u link on the end of the sensor loom up one notch (have a look at both fusers link wires), thats all there is too it.

Yeah I did notice it that and thought that may be the case, but my service manager said to swap the whole thing over for correct number. I guess in case the thermistors etc were different. I'll know for future anyway.

              Cheers
