    MPC5000 Page numbering

The time has come to ask an end user type question.

I'm trying to print our job cards through one of our shop copiers and I want to number each page for reference purposes. Ideally , I want the number stamp at the top right of the 1st side of the page. The 2nd side doesn't need a stamp obviously as it is the same job number.

I need the first stamp to start at 30,000 and I would like to print around 1,000 copies. I will be printing from Adobe through an XP box.

I have also loaded the doc to our doc server which has preset numbering and stamp position, but it only allows page numbering up to 1000.

My main questions are, how do I set the stamp position exactly where it needs to be?
How do I make the stamp miss every 2nd side, (2 passes for 1 stamp only)

Why do people think just coz ya can fix em, ya know how to use all the fancy features/

I'm fairly certain you can't accomplish this on this model natively. What you probably want is Bates Stamping, which the larger production mfp's have but only for copy mode and I don't believe you can skip pages. You can get 3rd party software that will accomplish this and Ecopy has this feature too. If you Google 'Bates stamp software' you will find many sites selling it along with some free trial software. I saw one program that featured repeat numbering by 'x'. If you put a value of '2' in, the same number would repeat twice (30000 on the front and back of the first sheet, 30001 on front and back of second sheet,...).

      Cheers Teebee,

This is exactly what I was after.
