Any way to print from a Mac to a MP 4000 with out a PS chip ($395 by the way) seems like I saw a workaround but can't say for sure.

Re: Ok New PS Question
If this is for a customer, make quadruple sure that they understand that this is a solution that you, as a dealer, can NOT support. If there are any features that are missing from the GimpPrint driver, or any that don't work properly, you can't do anything about it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Linux and Mac fan, but there are simply too many things that we can't control.
We got burned by this a few years ago when a customer who didn't want to purchase the PostScript option found "internet drivers", as he called them. We installed them for him, against my recommendation, just to get the business. A month later we were the bad guys when the drivers wouldn't support User Codes.“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. I had a Mac user that did know what he was doing. Two weeks later he ended up buying the PS chip @ cost + 15%, just to make everyone happy.
I always tell sales people to throw in the PS chip and add it to the price. Saves a lot of problems later on.Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?Comment
