    Sr790 finisher on mp2550

I've have a problem when I go to staple the copies then they come out the upper tray of finisher then the machine jams. The copies are not getting routed down for stapling . I ran a smc report to find codes 101 100 and 102 under jam history, not sure how to tackle this one or where to begin. I'm a fairly new tech any help in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Check the Junction Gate under the Upper Cover of the finisher. Maybe it's jammed or can't move freely. When the Junction Gate is directing the paper to the proof tray when it is supposed to go to the staple section you get the jam codes you mentioned.

Agreed. The spring missing off the junction gate can also cause this, as well as the solenoid spring that moves the gate being off.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.
