    Ricoh 450 Jamming everywhere

And I'm not familiar with this dinossaur. Already replaced the obvious culprits (rollers) but I'd like to ask you what are the usual parts that cause jams on this particular machine so I can order them and replace them (since we can't seem to convince the customer this machine is waaaaay past its time).

    Thanks!

Just wondering if you had any more specifics about the locations. Although old, they really aren't much different than a 3035, etc.
I've had a few of the bridge units cause problems. Does it have one? and do the jams persists if you set everything to come out in the inner tray?
Duplexing: The interchange solenoids get gummed up because the washers (noise dampeners) get gooey due to heat from fuser. I just remove the scanner and remove them.
Switch/roller problems? remove bypass tray and small RH cover and clean /check rollers intact on cover itself (sometimes the plastic breaks and rollers don't seat correctly) PLUS the Paper switch sometimes becomes dislodge from previous jam removal.
Just a few things I've seen without knowing your specifics.

You're right - sorry about the omission. Machine has no FS and jams whether I'm doing simples or duplex jobs. Jam codes 4, 5 and 58 (if I recall correctly), and from both trays. Paper usually stops before fusing, although it sometimes looks like it multifeeds, since more often than not I get two sheets very close to each other.

Going to follow your suggestion and remove bypass to check out that area. Thanks!

With that info, it's probably a waste of time to go through all that. It does sound like a feed roller or clutch issue - Like a clutch staying on or something, or (silly question) when you replaced the feed tires was it the roller and hub? or just the rubbers? If just the hub, any chance they were put on backwards? I've done it too many times myself
Also...I'm assuming it's frequent jams, and not every single time ??

a 450! strewth Mr Who you got the rough end of the pineapple! We buried the last of those years ago.
Having replaced the FR&S rollers the next I'd go for is the torque limiter on the sep roller then I'd be looking at the feed and fowarding clutches.
Next big job is to strip the entire scanner unit off the top so you can get access to the interchange unit above the fuser, it should be in an ugly state after baking in the fuser heat after all these years. Also change the fuser exit sensor as that will be nicely stewed by now.
The good new is that this model is no longer supported by Ricoh and 450 specific parts are no longer available.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

I would go with the clutches next esp. if you have papers that are really close together. That will happen when you have a clutch sticking on. I would try the clutches next, not expensive and somewhat easily replaced.
