Ricoh aficio 2060 paper door jamming

the top paper feeder on the right side has been driving the service dept crazy...its on the right side behind the door that is beside the toner waste bottle. The flap that folds down, in front of the feed rollers, when the side door is opened and goes up when closed seems to want to stay open slightly causing a jam. We have changed the little pivots, springs etc on the end of the feeder but give it a couple of days...or less..and the jamming returns...any ideas would be appreciated Thanks

I'm not sure what your describing are you talking about the bypass feed. The metal bar with the paper flag sensor on it, which i think has a mylar and shaped like J make sure thats in place properly and the mylars are under the metal shaft and not bunched up in there. The only other side Door thing next to the waste bottle i can think of is the A gate at the 3 feed stations but i dont think your describing that.

Make sure that paper sensor on the bypass is in place. if you open the bypass door you shouldnt get jams unless it thinks theres paper in the tray and wants to pull from it, which would mean the sensor is pushed up and detecting paper.

If thats not it then I am not sure what you mean.
