Ricoh 2045 drum scratching

Have a Ricoh Aficio 2045 that keeps developing a scratch almost near the middle of the drum. Replaced drum twice, drum blade, charge roller, charge cleaning blade, charge cleaning roller, transfer belt, & transfer cleaning blade. Doesn't become noticeable til after about 40-50 copies then becomes apparent on drum.
Double and triple checked drum blade, charge blade, charge roller, charge cleaning roller for damage or imperfections. Checked transfer belt and blade and
developer unit can't find or see anything causing scratches or rubbing against drum. Its not in line with either of the drum fingers either. Everything is OEM except the drums, but noticed the orignal drum which was OEM had same scratch mark in the same place. Anyone know if there is some sort of bulletin
or special setting in service mode for this?? Never seen anything like this before, really stumped.

i had the same problem, it wasnt a 2045 it was a gestetner printer version. i did everything you did multiple times it eneded up being the whole pcu was warped there was well over a million on the unit though.

Pcu housing or maybe something around the mag roller area on the dev unit.

Don't install the charge cleaning blade - it's also recommended by Ricoh leaving it away since it caused more trouble than making things more reliable.

Have a try to clean the magnetic roller and replace the toner entrance seal A232-3150

As memory serves...the dev unit cover with seals would warp up and contact drum causing that issue.

i had this happen also, after a hard run (500+ page job) the drum showed scratches a little off center. Replacing the drum and blade resulted again in immediate scratching . The pcu plastic frame/parts were extremely brittle, to the point that some started to crack and could not be reused. Almost looked like the plastic was not properly manufactured. Only remedy: new pcu assy. This was a low meter machine - under 100k.
