Ricoh 3228c black toner light stays on even though the toner bottle is full.
After replacing the K DV assy with a working unit from another machine the copies improved but after 120 copies they got light again as if toner is not being added. Toner light came on again after 120 run.

Probably faulty black toner pump, they can be removed stripped & cleaned, sometimes successful or better still replace if you have another unit. This is quite a frequent problem with this machine, made worse by alternative toner supplys.

We've had this a few times and yes it is quite a job to change the pump, with this in mind we always try cleaning the pipe out first. We have found the easiest way to do this is using a piece of wire striped out of a mains lead!!
