Re: Ricoh 2045 print problem
Do you get a red light error message? Have you tried an updated driver? Have you matched the driver to the O/S? Jonhiker offers a good first start.sigpic

Re: Ricoh 2045 print problem
try turning off SNMP under port configuration. iv had it on these older ricOhs where the cant communicate with the pc properly and it will tell the pc it is offline. when restarting the copier it works for a short wile until the SNMP kicks in.Comment

Re: Ricoh 2045 print problem
As suggested, try the laptop, also unplug the RJ45 and ping the I.P of the machine (I assume it's a static address?)Comment

Re: Ricoh 2045 print problem
:: I.T.issue ::
Could be a run away process in the print spooler software. The solutions is to delete the locked print job.
Check the customer is not running two identical printer drivers. IE. one driver on their server and the same one on their local machine(s).
This may cause a Bull-Run effect as the software semiphore lock and release chase each other for priority to print first.Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Re: Ricoh 2045 print problem
It's been a few years, but when this machine first came out it had this issue.
The lockup was caused by print jobs where the application had to send the fonts instead of using the built in ones. Instead of being flushed from RAM after each job, the downloaded fonts would stay there. After the RAM eventually filled up printing stopped. The only way to get it working again was to reset power.
The fix was updated PCL firmware.“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. That’s why I keep mine locked up in the basement.” - Tim HawkinsComment
