    [Misc] aficio password

    hey guise please help i brig machine dsm745 to customer but massage appeared you don't have privilege to use this function when i changed ip address.i log in as supervisor but password please

      The default login when admin authentication is turned on is 'admin', the password field is left blank. If the login/password has been changed to an unknown value, then you can try and login with 'supervisor' and again, leave the password field blank. When logged in as 'supervisor' the only control you have is to reset the administrator login and password, nothing else. If the supervisor login has been changed from its default, then you will need to replace the NVRAM.

          I am also having this problem.
          Although I CAN log in as supervisor and change the admin password i still receive authentication failure.
          I see the Adminstrator1 listed as, login = "admin". Then i click to change it's password. It allows that and i can enter in new data and hit okay. it appears to save it. logout from supervisor level then login as admin with new password and "authentication failure" Have tried NSC clear and then an all clear. No luck.
          After all is said and done, More is said than done.

              I'm assuming that your doing this via the web image monitor (WIM). What I think is happening, is that you're changing password, clicking "OK" to supposedly save it, then immediately logging out from the "program/change administrator" page, but you need to select "OK" again at the top of this page to save the new password, and then logout.

                  you're right. I am not selecting the 2nd "ok". Thanks, i will give that a try.
