I have an aficio AF3260c that make sometimes at start up .
home position sensor , SIOB and optique motor have been change .
We change also SBU .

I would suspect a problem with the scanner timing belt. Broken or Insufficient tension ( Do you hear a brief rattling sound when the scanner tries to first move?).
Look for the lock screw and check/adjust the tension of the belt on the pulley.
