Ricoh MPC2000

Got a customer with a lot of paper jams on the ADF.
When printing out the loging data it says there's a lot jam on "skewing correction"
Is this a problem in one of the sensors or is it a pickup problem.
The jams mostley occurs at the pickup and is fed only for a few inches into the ADF.
Changed the pickup roller, but it didn't do it . . .

anyone ?

The feed clutch needs to be replaced most likely. Attached is a tech bulletin with updated part numbers....

*replace all of the parts as a set as some dimensions have changed for the components

That'S most likely the issue. Replacing the pick up roller is usally not necessary - better take a look at the feed belt and sep roller. Usually the feed belt is getting slippery after ~70k feeds - sometimes it does also squeeky noises if the rubber surface is worn out.

That'S most likely the issue. Replacing the pick up roller is usally not necessary - better take a look at the feed belt and sep roller. Usually the feed belt is getting slippery after ~70k feeds - sometimes it does also squeeky noises if the rubber surface is worn out.

I agree with this......It's probably the feed belt. Inside it gets shiny and slippery makes noises and causes usual jamming.

And clean ALL of the sensors, there are millions of the buggers. I don't recall on this model, however the MPc4500 has a sensor underneath the white plate on the underside of the ADF (1 screw and the plate comes away) which gathers dust like the bitch that it is and causes all sorts of jamming problems.

Personally I do the pick-up, feed and sep rollers at 80k regardless of how worn they seem. It's not my money, I don't care!

You're absolutely right! Just do the rollers and belts anyways.
