Does the job log in the web interface show any errors? Check for user codes registered in the address book.

Check the driver and make sure its set to the correct port.
Make sure you're using the correct driver...PCL/DDST.

I have encountered the same problem in Aficio 2027.Only scanning was working.Replacing the memory and the controller board didn't work.So what I did, I replaced the NVRAM and it worked. Now my question is, have you tried to replace the NVRAM? Or, try to reload/update the firmware.

agree! check the port and try to use pcl6,pcl5e,rpcs. Use a peer to peer connection to isolate the problem.

If the machine doesn't print but scan doesn't neccessarily say that everything at the customers site is OK. Just hook up your notebook in case of doubt and see how it goes from there.

If you're shure that the machine has a problem you can start with these steps:

            - updateing/rewriting the firmware as already suggested
            - Is the printer/scanner SD card in the correct slot? (slot 1 I think)
            - What does the status of the printer/scanner say in the web interface/mainpage
            - Performing all "memory clear" sub-SP's except enginge (SP5-8?? I think)

You didn't say whether or not the machine worked before, or what may have led to this problem?
Have the NIC and USB ever been enabled?

              NIC:SP5-985-001 set to "1"
              USB: SP5-985-002 set to "1"

Otherwise, I also agree with a memory clear as Gift suggested

Good hint - even if I don't know if you can access the web interface if the NIC is disabled.

That so true, you cannot use the scan function if the NIC is disabled.
