[Error Code] Problem using a2309352 4mb pcmcia card & info about sd card64m

    Hi,
I lend a pc card and tried to copy some firmware.Always shown in MCE RICOH " Card Type unknown but a card of same specs is works fine at the same computer at the same time.Is it possible to revive the card with error? Any type of formatting or other tricks.
Is it possible to use a common 64 MB SD Card to upload/download firmware in 3030 & 3035?
If the generic Ricoh SD Card(64MB) available then what will be the cheapest price.

PC card - you should be able to format it using the standard Windows format feature > My Computer> right click on the PC card drive> select Format

    SD card-
You can use a non-Ricoh SD card to load firmware and get a larger size (1-2G is good, some people use larger ones). It is recommended that you format the cards using an SD card formatting program and not format with your standard PC utility. This link to a free program from Panasonic is what is recommended by Ricoh>

    Panasonic SD formatter

What is SD Memory Card Formatter used for ?
This software is used to format SD Memory Cards so they are compliant with SD Memory Card standards.
Typically, SD Memory Card file systems formatted using standard PC formatting software are not compliant with SD Memory Card standards. If you have formatted the card using the PC's standard formatting program, make sure to reformat using SD format to take full advantage of maximum SD Memory Card performance.

What happens when I format an SD Memory Card with a standard PC formatting program ?
The SD host equipment may not be able to recognize the SD Memory Card. Writing data to the card may take longer than necessary and some functions may no longer work.
