[Misc] Aficio 2027 hard disk & memory

Hello!
It's an Aficio 2027 (copier only) equiped with a harddisk 10GB .When my client tries to make multi copies ,the unit shows memory full after 20 to 25 originals got scanned.The client is pressing me to improve this.I have got this issue !st time in field.
Please guide me what measures I have to do to improve the memory capacity of the unit.

You should put a 128MB memory DIMM in the controller if there isn't one, that is where the scans are stored for processing (Item #1 in the attachment). There is only 64MB standard memory, which may not be enough for what he is scanning. The standard HDD for this model is 20G, which comes with the print option. Have you tried formatting it using SP5832-1?

This is an excerpt from the troubleshooting section in the operators manual. Sounds like a 20G hard disk is in order.

I don't think a larger harddisk would solve that issue. The A2027 is quite old and I think the actual usage of harddisk space is fixed @ somewhat ~8-10GB IIRC. That page of the user manuals seems to refer to the document server and it makes sense if that function is maybe fully packed with stored documents. But generally a simple multi-copyjob doesn't require fancy harddisk space.

I agree with teebee to check the ram configuration and consider an upgrade.
