Creating the PDF:
1. Open a document and select "Print".
2. Click the PDF button and then select "Save as PDF...". Save the PDF to any location. -
Re: MP C4000 Mac Booklet
Oh the joys of CUPS printing to a Ricoh!!! First, you'll need to make sure that all of the accessories are correctly configured in the driver. Once they are:
File>Print
Then next to the printer name is a drop down facing down. Click that to expand all of the options.
Underneath the orientation selection is a dropdown menu with the option of Preview listed. Change that to Printer Features. Then below that you'll have an entry for Feature Sets like general 1, general 2, etc. Just look through those to make your selections.
MUCH more of a hassle than Windows printing!
Good luck!Comment

Re: MP C4000 Mac Booklet
Ugh, I've been trying to batter an MPC6501 into submission with exactly the same problem. Customer doesn't want PDF conversion as image quality is lost. Somewhere, surely to God, there is an option that says "booklet". Can I find the damn thing? It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.Comment

Re: MP C4000 Mac Booklet
Print out 1 set single sided and place those pages in ADF, select booklet, staple etc...
Or print to document server and print from copier settings.
People are just too lazy anymore. Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?Comment

Re: MP C4000 Mac Booklet
Printing to Document Server IS printing the same quality as sending to controller.
You are just storing the print job @ the machine and manipulating the output.
I have a print shop and a church that prefers to do it this way.
That way they can do a test print in B/W (Booklet, folded, stapled etc.) before they run in color.
It also gives them the ability to recall the job right @ the machine to print another set if needed without having to find that document on the computer.
It is not the car you drive, it is how you drive the car.Why do they call it common sense?

Re: MP C4000 Mac Booklet
Thank Gawd my Dealer has instructed us to inform customers that our company does not support MAC.
We can install the machine on their network but as for loading drivers, configuring or rectifying issues like this we refer them to Ricoh direct.Comment

Re: MP C4000 Mac Booklet
Instead of normal print, select print to document server. This is not using the ADF at all.
This sends the print job to the HDD.
Select the stored document and push to printing screen.
Select how you want it output and how many copies. Why do they call it common sense?
