Aficio 700 SC441

My Aficio 700 keeps throwing this code. I checked the DV unit and it turns nice and free and shows no leakage. The gears are all in good shape. The machine makes a beautiful copy for about 12 prints and then displays the code again. This unit has about 475K on it. Could it be the DV motor assy?

Dev motor sounds like a good start. Also be sure to check the door switches.

The door switches? Do they malfunction and could be a cause for this error? What if I do a developer calibration run and it doesn't error out? Could it still be the motor?

check the bushing of the dv motor.

This series of machines originally had the rear of the mag roller shaft slide into a bearing in the machine frame. This bearing would fail and cause problems. I don't remember if this model is like that, but may be something to check.

Thanks for all the EXPERT help. It turned out to be the bushing in the DV drive unit. I cleaned and lubricated it and it is running just fine. Thank you for making me an expert when I returned.
