Re: reset general counter Ricoh
...and why would someone ever "HAVE" to reset an electronic counter other than to mis-represent the product they were selling?Last edited by sandmanmac; 04-11-2012, 11:40 PM.Comment

I'm sure that every model has a way of resetting the total counter. Resetting the counter and selling the machine is just a scam.Comment

Re: reset general counter Ricoh
if someone offered me an old piece of shit like that it had either have done zero copies OR have been hollowed out and loaded with a half ton of coke to even get close to making me want to buy the piece of crap....<insert dig at location of poster here>Comment

Re: reset general counter Ricoh
I am renting copiers, it suits me to start counting from zero, for an immediate view of the amount of work that makes the customer, I also happen to sell .... but an old car you see with the naked eye because Ricoh often turn yellow, so I see the scam ... also because the machines that I propose for sale have cost half what it was new, my posts are also entitled to personal culture ... and also because there is any customer who asks me
the counter to start from scratch!Comment

I think this forum is a valuable aid to those seeking to know ..... not a load of crap ..... and if someone was offended for asking the question a reset counter withdrawal!! ... indeed I say do not matter to me.Comment

Re: reset general counter Ricoh
Very simple : tell your customer that this is a used machine that has made, for example 480,384 copies. Start counting from there.
There's a reason that many manufacturers make it as difficult as possible to reset the total counter. You just can't tell what happened to the machine. It could have made 50,000 copies, or 200,000, or 1,000,000? Who knows?Comment
