Ricoh 2851 - How to Turn Off ECM ??

Can anyone tell me the steps to take to turn off ECM for faxing? I can't seem to find it referenced anywhere.

On most models I've dealt with it has to be changed within the fax sp modes, bit switch programming, com switch 01, bit 0.

Try fax SP 1-104-002. Change bit 0 to '0'. That will turn off the dreaded ECM and JBIG.

I'm a bit of a copy noob. I do network and Desktop support, so I'm not untrainable.

Can you walk me through from a noob's perspective on how to issue these commands?
