    document server mpc2050

    On an MPC 2050.
I save a file on the documentserver, how can I do to recover this file on my computer via the network? To send it by mail, or to edit, for example.

Is what I can use the hard drive of MPC2050, as a network hard drive?

AFAIK, you can only print the document from the Document Server.

The only way to download it is if you have the optional converter board installed in the machine. It has been called the MLB, or Media Link Board, or several other names. The file exists in a "print ready" state in the Doc Server, so it must be converted to a usable format first.

You will see that it looks like you can download it from the web page (WIM), but only if you have the optional hardware.

I don't think I've seen one i n the field yet, and I've been working with Ricoh products for 15 years.

As I recall, an optional piece of software could retrieve the docs some years ago, (Desktop Binder), but I don't think that would be a possibility at this point.
