Hi,i need help on this Gestetner3222 is displaying error code SC542.THANKS IN ADVANCE.

This is a fuser error - usually caused by faulty or dirty thermistors, maybe the thermofuse and most unlikely the lamp. This SC needs to be resettet via SP after inspection/repair.

Why not? I think it's a kind gesture. What's the difference giving it away to the public for free or sell it to the puplic for 12.99USD? Both ways are probably breaking copyright rules of most countries in the world^^

I wholly agree that it's a kind gesture, I wasn't questioning that. What I was calling into question was the advisability of an end-user accessing the service mode of the machine and potentially causing damage to it by resetting a fuser error, for their sake and the sake of the machine rather than to keep the secrets of the dark arts safe.

Anyway, I meant no offence.
