Ricoh Cl 7300

Hello all,

New to this forum so please break me in gently....

Ive got a ricoh cl7300 laser printer, can anyone give me easy to follow instructions on how to aling the magenta horizontally ? I can see the adjustment for vertical but not for horizontal.

The magenta image seams a few mm`s off.

I dont know much about these printers, so any help appreciated.

Usually the machine should calibrate itself. You can also force a calibration in the user end of the menu (I think it's actually called "color registration"). If the color registration is a few mm off you might need up to 10 attempts until it looks good. You might also check the roller on the upper left of the transfer unit - it's the one coated with a chrome-like surface. It is very important that the roller and the transfer belt itself looks clean because the machine does print a calibration pattern on the transfer belt and read it with sensors that uses the roller as reflection surface. So if there's dirt on the wrong spot the machine won't calibrate itself properly because the sensor readings are bad.

If everything looks clean and multiple attempts of color registration runs fails we might discuss another solution.

Most machines, and I'm not sure if this is one of them, have an SP mode for "Force Line Position Adjust." This should pull the registration back in if the auto reg adjust for users isn't working.

If line position doesnt work clean the belt
Also on the inner side at the edge(where the sensor reads) and the sensor
Replace belt if necessary..
