[Error Code] SC 542 (MP 7001)

SC 542 is showing when the HDD is connected to the machine. The error code is consistent and cannot be reset. When the HDD is disconnected, the machine is working fine.Have you encountered this kind of problem?

Note: Hot roller and thermistors are still new.

Have never seen that problem. Have you tried to format the HDD?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the HDD has already been replaced.

This may be a stupid question but have you checked to see if the HDD has power to it? Or maybe a bad cable? I have seen this cause other problems but never a 542 code. Bad thermostats yes, HDD no? Hmmmmm
