I think I've seen this before, but I'm not sure. (Old age, ya know...)

Check the received faxes in the WIM, and delete what's there. As I recall, that's the only way to get rid of them. Also, are the faxes being stored or forwarded in any way? If you don't get the bit switches set just right, you will keep going back over and over again for the same problem, depending on just how busy the fax is.

BTW... This being the "newest of the new", check the TRSC site for any firmware updates, and not just fax. Usually when a machine is this recent a release the firmware updates tend to come out more frequently.

    See how it goze...

thanks for all that. been there already.
It is n not the faxes that are being stored. It is some sort of communication log. IE error logs that should be printing arent and they get stored. Not accessible from WIM so cant be deleted from there. Delete them in fax user tools menu. But, why and how are they storing instead of printing

If you're talking about the Journal report, go into User Tools, Fax function, blah, blah blah and find the User Parameter settings. Make sure SW03 bit7 is set to "1". This turns on the Automatic Journal Report and prints it out about every 40 transmissions. If you're talking about a Communication Log report (which I personally haven't had the pleasure of running into, I found the following information......

Found this in the GKB, maybe check the Access Log using the WIM and disable it if it's set.
        ************************************************** ************************************************** *****************************
If a TCP error occurs (lost packet, duplicate packet, checksum, etc.), the communicating hosts resolve the error on their own. This is not typically logged as it is not an uncommon occurrence and can occur in any network.
However the device can be configured to log such errors for encrypted communication using the "Collect Encrypted Communication Logs" setting:

Such entries in the Security log should not be cause for alarm. It just means that some encrypted packets were lost or dropped. It does not mean that security has been compromised in any way.

OK here is what the issue was.

when fax feature was pressed a message read "COMMUNICATION LOG FULL"

            this was the fix

            user tools
            fax features
            reception settings
            reception file settings
            prohibit auto print
            general

general had been set to "PROHIBIT"
changed setting to "DO NOT PROHIBIT"

Immediately fax journals and fax error reports began to print out.

              Nice find!

I wonder if that's new to the "GW+" line, or has it always been there?

              Interesting...

Just like to say that this saved my bacon. Had the same issue with a remote client. Rep added!
