Maybe starting a third thread to the same issue?
I'm not into wide format but if the copier is fully functional I'd guess that there's no open cover detected by the Ricoh. Is that Fiery a stand alone device or full yintegrated into the copier? In case it looks like a little computer: Maybe there's a detection for the fiery-casing itself
What does it display if you shut it down and start it without the connection cable to the machine? Last but not least - maybe it's a false alarm or wording error. In this case you might check if everything is up to date and - if needed - try upgrading the fiery and machine to the last versions hoping that the error message disappears or telling something else.
