MPC 6501 and Fiery , int. connection and SC819

    Hi
have the above ... could it be hard drives finally going after customer keep turning m/c on / off trying to rectify the offline message.
Originally was just saying check connection between controller and mfd. Replaced ethernet cable yesterday which seemed to sort original prob, but! bounced last night with SC819.

    Any thoughts

    Cheers

I have 3 machines having a problem SC819. what i will do is changing controller board and instruct the customer the proper turning off the power switch.

that sounds quite pricey... doesn't formatting the HDD, rewriting the firmware, doing a NV-ram clear (and enter the non-default data manually) do the job?

Oh god, I'd never try an NV-ram clear on a Venus unless my life was at stake.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.
