    Goose's Guide 2.0 mobile version

Not sure if anyone has had a chance to see this yet, just came out a few days ago. You can access the Guide with your mobile device, has 2 fields to enter - Product Family and Search (problem desc). You will need Single Sign On credentials to access it. The screenshots are from my iphone.

Anyone should be able to access it as long as you are registered with the Single Sign On (TSRC). You can even view it with a laptop/pc but the layout is somewhat different. This may be part of the new Tablet program Ricoh is rolling out where all of our data (service documentation and such) will be stored on the "cloud" since the tablets will have limited storage capability.

I'm not really up on the mobile browsers, but on my iPhone using Safari, the website looks like it does as if I opened it on a desktop. Using the Opera browser, it looks like it should for a mobile site (as in my OP). I am going to email the developer and see if there is any coding changes that can be done to fix it. The attached screenshots are from my phone using the native Safari browser.

teebee1234, I booked the page on the droid. Now when I go to it of course it redirects to the SSO, then I had to go back to my bookmark to get there. At first it looked a little different, now it looks like your screen shots. I couldn't find a link to this page on tsrc today... maybe because I work for a dealer and big bRother treats us different. Also it looks like it's an off shoot of the online cross ref app( the actual web link has XREF in it).

I don't think it's anything official yet, I found it on the Ricoh Tech Forums under TSRC feedback (published by Frank Brunke). Probably a work in progress until they can get the formatting right for all browsers.

I have access to the Australian Ricoh Rapnet portal and it runs fine on my tablet.
Most Android devices that run ver.3.2 have a spreadsheet program that will run excel files and .pdf....
I think the Yanks are talking about access to the U.S.Ricoh Portal.

I have access to all of the above as well, and I have both android and IOS phones, the techs currently are supplied with laptops and iphones and as such the desktop version of Gooses Guide runs fine on the laptops. What I am most interested in is the "Mobile version" of the gooses guide which seemed to be optimised for iphone users.

We do have access to a wealth of data and info etc thru the Rapnet/Ourspace portal, however as we dont have tablet devices we are still tied to rather slow and cumbersome laptops.

I just want to know if there is any way diligent and hard working techs like myself can access extra info whilst on the go - as part of my constant drive to improve both my own work and improve the service we offer on a day to day basis.

What branch are you in Oze?
