Ricoh Aficio CL 7000: tips on changing PCU and development units?

    Hi

I got a Ricoh Alficio CL7000 and I do not have experience with it. Changing the PCU and development units seems tricky: How do I avoid damaging the PCU when changing either the PCU or the developments units?
The description in the Service Manual is essentially "Pull it out". But how do I pull them out without touching anything that should not be touched?

    Any pointers appreciated. Thanks.

It's not that tricky - you'll notice that the units are supported with trackages so just go on and try it without tilting anything. The units are replaceables for end users so it's easy enough if you're not a parkinson patient and you can follow the instructions provided by the user manuals and/or instructions sheets supplied with the units.

      Thank you for your reply.

I took this machine over from another office that had no IT support. The users changed the parts and the PCU where in terrible condition. So it's can't be too easy

My guess is that the slack in the rails makes it easy to touch the PCU surface to the cleaning blade or the doctor blade. On how the developer units where damaged I do not have an idea.

If there is no other trick then to be very careful I will do that. But I will also give it try to put something around the PCU during handling.

      Regards
