    Ricoh Mpc4000 Java VM Card

    Chaps,

I need 2 VM Cards for an MPc4000 as soon as possible, however they are back-ordered from Ricoh until the middle of July. My questions are as follows:

1.) Is there any way that you know of to download the Java to put onto a standard SD card?

2.) Does anybody have one of these (Type I, EDP code 414711) which they would sell to us?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris

Off the top of my head...

Are you installing Global Scan ?

I believe Ricoh have a batch file on their website that allows the Java script to be copied directly to an SD card.
From memory the batch file makes a directory on the SD card like "COMMON\SDK\JARS", or there abouts.
It's been awhile since I had to do this direclty to a SDcard so Ricoh may have changed the above.

Close but no cigar, I'm installing CAP v2.

I don't suppose you know whereabouts on the website it was, do you?

I can check in the morning. I may have some that were pulled from new units. Their all US cards though.

Should it matter if they're from US machines? I'd guess that the Java card will be universal.

Anyway, if you wouldn't mind having a hunt around it's be massively appreciated. Let me know if you do and we can talk about payment and that sort of thing.

          Cheers,

          Chris

Do a search on the Ricoh site for the latest Ver.

VM Card Type I SDK ver 4.25

Have a look in any of the Multifunctions Devices| Download Solutions |

The above version is the latest I found for MPC range.

            Hope that helps....

Why not just update the java card to the latest version, it basically re-writes it anyway. You can find it on ricoh-support.com as long as you have a login.

I was able to update a c5501 java card with the batch file for an Mp8001 and it worked fine. You might want to try it if you have a different version java card handy while the one you need is back ordered.

Thanks, I've got this sorted (I bought 2 from the US.)

After all of that, one of our sales guys had 2 hidden in his office too, so we've got 2 spares.

                      Stupid salesmen...
