    SC529 on MPC3500

This seems to be happening intermittently. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Junction gate 1 motor error
The junction gate 1 HP sensor does not detect the home position of
junction gate 1 for 0.15 seconds when the machine starts to detect its
    home position.
The junction gate 1 HP sensor does not turn off for 0.1 seconds after
the machine has detected its home position.
ƒ Disconnected or defective junction gate 1 motor
ƒ Disconnected or defective junction gate 1 HP sensor
ƒ Mechanical problem (such as paper jam etc.)
ƒ Shorted 24 V fuse on the PSU
    ƒ Defective IOB
    529 D
    1. Remove any objects that obstruct junction gate 1.
    2. Replace the junction gate 1 HP sensor.
    3. Replace the junction gate 1 motor.
    4. Replace the 24 V fuse on the PSU.
    5. Replace the IOB.

This stuff is in the fusing/paper exit section.

No, the machine side exit section above the fuser. There is a gate on the duplex unit that meshes with this area.

Oh okay. Unfortunately I could see nothing particularly wrong with that area. After I turned it back on the code went away. Gotta love intermittent problems. I guess I'll be making regular visits. Lol

The gear on the rear side of the junction gate was not on all the way, so it would jiggle in and out of the right spot causing the flappy thing that triggers the photosensor to not clear the photosensor. The c-clip was missing on the end of the shaft.
