    SC 546

    Hi to all,
    I have mp 161 spf always pop out sc 546 i already replaced power supply, thermistor, lamp looks good. after i reset will be okay for few day. anymore idea in this case..thanks

    I'd try another complete fuser assembly first, if possible. Maybe voltage fluctuation from the wall outlet? Maybe try another one, or install surge protector.
    Could also be defective BICU, or even PCU.

        I agree you should try another fuser unit first. A 546 means the fuser temp is detected as varying 50 degrees within 1 sec. That would indicate to me that most likely there is an intermittent break somewhere in the wiring, from the connector that the thermistor plugs into all the way back to the PSU or the BICU. Also make sure the fuser is locked down tight, I've seen the plastic break that the screw goes through or the metal tab with the threaded hole missing. That could cause an intermittent connection during operation.

          Hi there!
          I agree, too. Had sometimes oxidated contacts on the lamps/screws, cleaning was only good for a while. After installing a new fusing-unit there were no more problems.
