Lock all print jobs (already using user codes)

We're finding that a lot of people are wasting paper (printing and then never going to grab it off the printer).

Is it possible to make the device not print until they walk up and enter their code (locked jobs) WITHOUT making a change on the client side? We already use user codes for everything.

All these client computers are independent contractors so changing driver settings on all of them would be quite difficult.

This is on a Savin C6045 (Ricoh 3260c)

    Thank you.

Thanks but that looks like everything would have to be done in the driver on the machine. I'm trying to avoid this as I have 50+ independent contractors that would be like herding cats to have them bring in their machines to modify the driver settings. I was hoping there was way to simply make all jobs on the printer locked.

All the settings are already in the driver setup if I am not mistaken. all that is needed is to teach the enduser to select the password printing before they send the document. I can see how this may be a problem. Not sure if you can have all documents locked at printer with just a setting in the copier.

That is a feature on the newest (xx02) serier, but for earlier, it must be done in the driver. The print driver Editor can make it default or required. If the customer is billing these contractors for thier prints, they can present it as a "benefit" to have thier driver updated.

Since you already have user codes setup, just bill usage per page per code. usage will go down after the first month.
