[Error Code] 2045 with sc 620 and 992

Hello guys,
I have a 2045 that generates random sc 620 and 992.
In the service manual for sc 620, speaks of a communication error between finisher or mailbox and Bicu.
Yesterday I asked the client to disconnect, from the copier, the cable of the finisher, but this morning he called me and told me that the error sc 620 is once again appeared.
It would seem that it remained only to be replaced Bicu .... you have other suggestions?

For the sc 992 the manual speak:

SYMPTOM
Unexpected Software Error
There was an unexpected software error which does not provide any
SC code

POSSIBLE CAUSES
• Software defective
• There was an error not detectable any code SC.

In 2020 at times when generating the sc990 the problem is to replace the drum. The SC 992 in 2045 could be the same problem?
The copier has all the updated firmware.
I formatted the hd and I was thinking of cleaning the ram on the controller.

SC992: Communication error between controller and control panel, check to see if harness between controller and LCDC is ok/connected.

could have a bad LCDC or BICU may be bad but I would check all the cables and plugs first. Reseat all plugs on BICU, LCDC and control panel

If it does it with the finisher hooked up then check all the cables/wires from the finisher to the BICU board or possible try another finisher. If it does it without the finisher hooked up the first thing to do would be replace the BICU. Since the two error codes have a common connection (BICU) you may want to change the board.

SC-620 : Communication timeout error between BICU and finisher or mailbox (The BICU cannot receive a response within 100 ms after 3 attempts after sending data to the finisher or mailbox. )
Causes :

1. Serial line connecting BICU and finisher unstable
2. External noise
3. BICU board and finisher main board connection defective or loose
4. Finisher main board defective
5. BICU board defective

sounds like firmware to me or at least to rule it out. is the power at the wall ok?

reload firmware! We had these issues all the time with Ricoh. If we got a strange code followed with an sc992, then we would reload the firmware and that would solve it 90% of the time. It was rare that we ever had to replace a BICU unless there was a major storm or a tech who shut the machine down during a firmware upgrade.

The copier has received all the updates last year before being delivered to the customer.
However, I will try to update again.

Replace the ADF data cable (Before the BICU!!)

Used to get this fault on AF1045 machines (Similar). Machine hangs for about 1 minute and then shows the 620 code. Can also be triggered when the ADF is lifted.

Have also checked the TESSA site and they suggest checking the connection between the BICU and IOB.
