    mpc 4000 coloured lines

this problem is very intermittant. some times it can happen at the first page only and sometimes in the middle of a print job. but always on one sheet only and the rest are fine.

all drums are new. its not the charde roller. transfer cleaning unit has been replaced.

i have a sample uploaded for everyone to view. thanks

It looks like your transfer belt cleaning blade is needing replaced or if your really lucky the whole transfer unit.

Has there been a change in the ambient weather ?
Have you experienced a sudden cold snap ?

When we get a sudden cold snap around may-June here at our location we get similar calls.
The problem is in the wax in the toner on the drum blade. The drum blade goes hard from the cold snap and doesn't clean the first couple of pages. After a couple of pages everything works as it should. We can set our calendar from the regular customer calls we recieve for this problem around this time of the year.

I'm not sure if this is relavent in your location....

Is this duplex? Look at the PTR - if it doesn't cam away from the ITB during ProCon you'll get marks like this mostly on the back side. Even single side the machine is designed to reverse bias the transfer to clean it back to the ITB. If the deposits are heavy enough combined with the funky transfer bias it can be hard to clean off the belt and do all kinds of odd stuff from there.

Seen the PTR Lift (or whatever you want to call it) get gummy on lots of different machines.

The problem is cleaning the ITB. Change this piece D0296027 CLEANING UNIT:INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER:ASS'Y.

                  Good luck

It sure looks like it, but he already said the transfer cleaning unit was replaced. I suppose it's possible to have gotten a bad one but I would expect at least a slightly different result.
